Correspondence and reports relating to nutrition surveys in Colombia and Bolivia in 1960-1961 and to the exchange program between the medical schools of Tulane and Antioquia (Colombia). Correspondents include various members of the Interdepartmental Committee on Nutrition for National Defense, both in the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare and at medical schools throughout the U.S., and university and health officials in Colombia and Bolivia. Of special interest are copies of Dr. Unglaub's letters describing his planning and surveying trips to the two countries.

Physician. Native of Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Unglaub received his M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1942 and performed his internship and residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He was appointed to the faculty of the Tulane University Medical School in 1948. During 1960-1961 he conducted nutrition surveys in Latin American countries for the U.S. Interdepartmental Committee on Nutrition for National Defense.
